Mathematics in physics education: a case of more haste less speed
Abstract
Physicists predict the future, albeit restricted to material phenomena, through the use of algebraic models. Physics students need graded schemes of work to master the skills and knowledge that algebra gives. Piagetian genetic epistemology can be used to structure learning.
