Deformation analysis of matrix models
Abstract
In this paper we show that the non-linear equations that play a role in Tracy and Widom's analysis of scaling limits for Hermitian Matrix Models are special cases of the monodromy preserving deformation equations first discussed by Sato, Miwa, and Jimbo in the early 1980's.
