Edge crack growth for linear elastic body with wavy surface
Abstract
The direct boundary element method was used to investigate the edge crack propagation process for a linear elastic body with wavy surface. The load movement was assumed to be moving away from, moving toward, and passing through the crack. Effects of waviness, friction, and load magnitude were studied. Results for each load movement were presented in detail.
