Impingement cooling of an isothermally heated surface with a confined slot jet
Abstract
The objectives of this study include: (1) to explore the effects of jet Reynolds number; (2) ratio of separation distance to jet width and jet exit-velocity profile on stagnation and local heat transfer characteristics in confined slot-jet impingement problems; and (3) to propose new Nu correlations for predicting stagnation and local heat transfer characteristics.
