Comparison of finite element and finite volume methods for incompressible viscous flows
Abstract
A comparison between a Galerkin finite element scheme and a finite volume method of central-differencing type is presented in this paper. To test the accuracy and stability of the two methods, nonuniform grids are employed. Results show that the two methods are equally stable and accurate.
