Non-linear, multiple flexible body assessment of the Space Station Freedom microgravity environment
Abstract
The GRASP nonlinear multiple flexible body program is the basis of the present investigation of Space Station Freedom's microgravity environment structural dynamics and control integrated effects. By means of this nonlinear simulation, it is possible to give attention to forcing functions, articulated elements, aerodynamic forces, and structural flexibility. The frequency of the disturbance forcing function most affected microgravity when it was in the bandwidth of the attitude-control system. Full nonlinear simulations are required for the accurate modeling of microgravity.
