Finite volume method on unstructured grids for incompressible viscous flow simulations
Abstract
A finite volume method for the analysis of convective and diffusive equations has been developed on the unstructured grid by using Voronoi diagram as a control volume. In this method, a high-order upwind scheme for the convective terms can be expressed by a two-point interpolation on the control volume surface. Besides, a combined scheme based on a concept of boundedness has been introduced from the previous method on the structured grid in order to derive a non-oscillating solution in the high Reynolds number flows. A performance of these schemes on the unstructured grid is proved by the simulation of the lid-driven cavity flow.
