An efficient method for solving a certain kind of integral equations in thin plate bending problems
Abstract
The paper is concerned with a class of integral equations arising in certain static and dynamic problems concerning the bending of thin plates with inclusions. For solving these equations, a method is proposed which employs a special approximation of the equation kernel symbol. An exact solution with an approximated kernel is obtained in a class of functions with integrable singularities at the boundaries of the integration interval.
