Global magnetospheric imaging.
Abstract
The global properties of the magnetosphere are starting to be mapped through a combination of images taken at X ray, extreme ultraviolet, visible, and radio wavelengths with maps of the flux of energetic neutral atoms. This paper describes the techniques for global magnetospheric imaging and discusses the scientific expectations of having global observations in conjunction with local measurements.
