Effect of perturbations of lower ionosphere parameters on the statistical characteristics of partially reflected radio signals
Abstract
Results of experimental studies of changes in the statistical characteristics of medium-frequency and high-frequency radio signals partially reflected in the lower ionosphere, covering the period 1984-1987, are reported. Some characteristic properties of short-term perturbations of the lower ionosphere at mid latitudes are examined. The results of the study are relevant to the prediction and modeling of the conditions of propagation of radio waves of various lengths in the ionosphere.
