Input impedance of circular-disk microstrip antennas with a dielectric cover
Abstract
A spectral-domain moment-method analysis has been performed of a circular disk microstrip antenna with a dielectric cover. The formulation of the problem is made in the Hankel transform domain. The effects of a dielectric cover on the TM11 mode of the circular disk are described numerically. It is concluded that the dielectric cover reduces the resonant frequency, decreases the resonant resistance, and increases the impedance bandwidth.
