Radiated fields of microstrip patches at arbitrary angular positions
Abstract
The radiation characteristics of microstrip path antennas located at arbitrary angular positions are studied. The radiated far field of the patch is determined using the aperture method. A circular arrangement of the patch antennas was investigated. The dependence of the radiated fields on the array geometry for a frequency of 10 GHz and a substrate dielectric constant of 2.2 is considered. The practical applications of the array configuration considered here are of interest for radar systems, and air and space navigation systems.
