The French microgravity research program
Abstract
Microgravity is considered to be a research tool for fundamental physics, materials processing, fluid physics, and the life sciences. These research activities require space vehicles, unmanned or manned, able to provide microgravity conditions during extended periods of time. The structure of the French microgravity research program, the objects of investigations in the various disciplines, the techniques used, and the planned missions are presented.
