Investigation of homogeneous and heterogeneous condensation in coflowing turbulent isobaric vapor-air jets
Abstract
The paper presents results of a numerical study of coflowing turbulent isobaric vapor-air jets with homogeneous and heterogeneous condensation. Calculations were performed using a mathematical model consisting of equations of gas dynamics and kinetics, thermodynamic relationships, and equations of the epsilon-e turbulence model. The averaged value of the rate of homogeneous nucleation was determined taking into account the probability density function of the passive-admixture concentration.
