System identification and localization procedures with structural connectivity constraint
Abstract
A system identification procedure using measured modal data and analytical model to update the system matrices with the requirements of satisfying the eigen equations of motion and the orthogonality condition is presented. The error between the updated system matrices and the analytical model are, in turn, used to determine the relative error in each element using a proposed localization procedure. To preserve the physical significance of the system matrices, the structural connectively information is specified in the process. The procedures are performed in an optimal way to ensure the equivalence of the solution.
