Evaluation of local-isotropy in a turbulent plane jet using moving hot-wire measurements
Abstract
The present work consists of an experimental investigation of the small scales in a turbulent planar jet using moving hot-wire probes. The overall objective is to provide a basis for evaluating the characteristics of the dissipative scales of turbulence. This involves assessment of local-isotropy from the measurements of the spatial derivatives of the velocity field.
