High frequency high power inverter power system for dc operated CFA
Abstract
A high-power, high-frequency inverter power system for the dc-operated cross field amplifier has been developed. It uses a series resonant converter of 25 KHz resonant frequency, providing an average power of 11 kW, a ripple less than 5 x 10 exp -4, and efficiency higher than 85 percent. It is successfully applied to our advanced high mobile low-altitude radar.
