Global flow characteristics on a curved channel. Goertler instability point
Abstract
Global flow characteristics in a curved low speed hydrodynamic channel which was specially designed to study Goertler instability are presented. Other phenomena which appear in the channel, such as recirculation, wall effects and boundary layer deviations, which have an effect on the evolution of this instability, are taken into consideration. The investigation techniques used were laser fluorescence visualization and laser velocimetry.
