Self-oscillations in a multisection optical transmission line based on coupled semiconductor lasers
Abstract
The paper presents an investigation of the excitation and propagation of solitary stationary light pulses in a multisection optical transmission line made up of a periodic sequence of coupled two-section injection lasers. It is shown that the solitary pulse can have a low group velocity (about 0.05 of the velocity of light) and a minimum extent along the transmission line, amounting to about 1-2 structure elements.
