Refraction of surface magnetostatic waves at the interface between ferrite and ferrite-dielectric-metal
Abstract
The characteristics of surface magnetostatic wave refraction by a metal strip mounted near the surface of a ferrite film are investigated theoretically and experimentally. In particular, the refraction of surface magnetostatic waves in the direction of a constant magnetic field is determined as a function of the surface magnetostatic wave frequency, initial direction, and the clearance between the surfaces of the ferrite film and the metal strip. The possibility of using the effect of surface magnetostatic wave refraction for creating filters and other devices is discussed.
