Strange vortex structures in layered superconductors
Abstract
A brief review on anomalous vortex structures appearing in layered superconductors is presented. Vortices are strongly pinned by copper-oxide layers. They form a series of metastable structures in the field parallel to the layers or alternatively acquire a kink superstructure when the field is tilted to the layers. Numerous experimentally available properties of such structures are deduced.
