Photosensitive structure based on the high-temperature superconducting ceramic YBa2Cu3O7
Abstract
The design of a photodetector operating at a wavelength of 0.63 micron based on the high-temperature superconducting ceramic YBa2Cu3O7 is described. The photodetector of this type has a sensitivity of the order of 10 to the -10th W/sq rt Hz at a temperature 84.3 K for a bias current of 25 ma. It is noted that the photodetector design proposed here is far from optimal from the standpoint of heat transfer. Therefore, the sensitivity of such photodetector structures can be increased by using the methods commonly used in the development of classical superconducting bolometers.
