Propagation of the amplitude-modulated laser radiation in a gas of two-level atoms
Abstract
The propagation characteristics of amplitude-modulated laser radiation in an atomic resonant gas is examined for the case of low modulation depth. It is shown that, under these conditions, a nonlinear transfer of energy from a strong field to weaker fields is possible. Numerical calculations of the field intensities are presented.
