Spectrometric methods of the study of the structure of composite materials (Review)
Abstract
Results of some recent spectrometric studies of the physical characteristics of composite materials are reviewed. In particular, attention is given to the typical frequency and temperature spectra of the dielectric and mechanical characteristics of composites in the process of polymerization and water absorption. It is shown that the temperature spectra of the dielectric and mechanical characteristics of epoxy-based prepregs provide a way to control such parameters as the glass transition temperature, onset of polymerization, and the temperature of minimum matrix viscosity. The information value of the spectral analysis of acoustic emission analysis is assessed.
