Position of the initial selenodetic point from the Greenwich meridian observations of the crater Mösting A.
Abstract
Quasi-dynamical coordinates of the lunar crater Mösting A are determined from the analysis of Greenwich meridian observations (Jan 1960 to Apr 1982). The lunar motion theories j=2 and DE200/LE200 are used. It is shown that the centre of the mass of the Moon is situated 1.5 km towards the north and 4.8 km nearer towards the Earth relative to the centre of the Moon's figure as defined by Koziel. Comparisons with the results of other authors are given.
