An experimental study of a method for designing low-noise parametric amplifiers
Abstract
A parametric optical amplifier is proposed which consists of several in-series nonlinear crystals of different kinds. The amplifier design proposed here solves the problem of parametric superluminescence noise suppression. Experimental results for an implementation of the optical amplifier design are presented.
