Integral multiplicities of the general ionizing component of cosmic rays at different depths of the earth atmosphere
Abstract
The Monte Carlo method is used to calculate coupling coefficients for the general ionizing component of cosmic rays at different depths in the atmosphere. These coefficients are employed to evaluate the intensity of the cosmic ray ionizing component in the solar minima of 1965, 1976, and 1987. It is concluded that significant residual modulation in the high-energy region took place in the 1976 solar minimum.
