Parameters of the inverted-V type multiplet structure according to data from the Intercosmos-Bulgaria-1300 satellite
Abstract
Intercosmos-Bulgaria-1300 data on the inverted-V electron-precipitation structure are examined. The data suggest the existence of processes in the plasma sheet that lead to meridional modulation of the pressure of hot particles during changes in the meridional distribution of their concentration and the corresponding stratification of the large-scale field-aligned current (FAC) transported by hot magnetospheric electrons. The main parameter determining the appearance of the multiplet structure is the width of the FAC outflow region.
