Study of the spatial correlations of the Earth's twilight horizon brightness field by analyzing the photographs from space.
Abstract
This paper describes the investigation of the fluctuations of the Earth's twilight horizon brightness field by the correlation methods. Realizations of the brightness field of light scattered by aerosols were obtained from the photographs of the Earth's limb during sunset. Images were received on the orbital space station "Salyut-6" in May, 1981 with an MKF-6 camera.
