Laser heated calcium sulfate TLD plates: Application to radiation mapping
Abstract
A method of radiation mapping using laser heated Thermo Luminescence Dosimetry (TLD) plates made of CaSO4:Mn is described. The thermoluminescent properties of this material applied to dose mapping are presented and an example of dose mapping in the radiation field is given. The results indicate that the method is suitable for radiation mapping applied to dosimetry for electronics. Large size dosimeters are not considered a problem as the material and its support are less heated and stressed as well as faster processed.
