Numerical study of laminar flow past one and two circular cylinders
Abstract
Time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations are solved using the conventional finite element method with velocity-pressure formulations. Numerical results are presented for the wake interaction between two cylinders arranged at different intervals along the axis for Re=100. This provided a good example of flow interactions, although discontinuity changes in the flow pattern, the Strouhal number, and the pressure distribution were detected.
