Autocollimation adjustment and investigation of the stability of the RATAN-600 radio telescope.
Abstract
The autocollimation method used on the RATAN-600 radio telescope for adjustment (relative positioning of the panels forming the primary mirror) and certain other measurements is described. The autocollimation method of adjustment has been used for providing observations on the radio telescope for more than 10 years. On the basis of the results of measurements taken during this time, the stability of the focusing system of the radio telescope and reliability of the indicating and adjusting mechanisms of the panels are estimated.
