A veto detector for discrimination of charged particles
Abstract
A veto detector, consisting of the plastic scintillator material NE104, was built. It is used for discrimination of charged particles in high energy gamma ray measurements. In a CH2(p,p') experiment the discrimination efficiency for protons with an energy of 46 MeV was measured to be higher than 99.9 percent.
