A radio frequency user's guide to the space environment services center geophysical alert broadcasts
Abstract
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's hourly short-wave radio bulletins provide continually updated information on solar-activity-induced effects on the near-Earth space environment. Bulletins are 45 seconds or less in duration and contain a large amount of useful data. The User's Guide explains the standardized format and terminology of the bulletins. Specific terms are highlighted in bold type the first time they occur, and are defined in an appendix.
