Studies on variable cross sectional beams and plates by using BEM
Abstract
Acoustical radiation of near fields was numerically studied for variable cross sectional beams and plates. Structures with different geometric forms do exhibit marginal variations in the near-field acoustic radiation. Some of these results, when compared with the Rayleigh integral formulation, do not differ much with respect to radiated sound pressure levels.
