VUV emission from electron beam excited CsF vapor at high pressures of He or Ne buffer gas
Abstract
CsF vapor in a buffer gas of He or Ne was excited by an electron beam. In a charge transfer reaction from He ions to CsF, emission at 185 nm has been observed. It has been tentatively assigned to the (B to X) transition of Cs2(+)F(-).
