Conversion of time intervals into a high-resolution noise-immune digital code
Abstract
A novel device for the conversion of time intervals into a code is proposed which provides a significant improvement in resolution without any increase in conversion time. The general design and the principle of operation of the signal convertor are described. The rms error and the conversion is estimated at 0.003 percent; the conversion rate is 7/s.
