Magnetic flux penetration into layered superconductors
Abstract
A study is made of the magnetic properties of anisotropic superconductors in a field inclined with respect to the anisotropy axis. It is shown that, in layered anisotropic superconductors, the penetration of the oblique field should occur in the form of vortex trains rather than individual filaments. The equilibrium periods of such vortex trains are determined for different field orientations and degrees of anisotropy. Vortex lattice formation and the characteristics of magnetization curves for an oblique vortex lattice are discussed.
