Kinetics of a mixture of moderately dense polyatomic gases
Abstract
Kinetic equations for a mixture of moderately dense polyatomic gases are derived from coupling equations for Wigner operators. The Bogoliubov method is used to solve the system of equations in the relaxation (vibrational relaxation) gasdynamic approximation. For a sufficiently general class of models of diatomic molecules and intermolecular interaction, determinations are made of transfer coefficients, relaxation pressure, and sources in kinetic and relaxation gasdynamic equations. Relaxation times are determined in local-equilibrium and dissipation approximations. Gasdynamic equations are obtained for a mixture of moderately dense polyatomic gases in the single-temperature approximation.
