Experimental study of an unsteady boundary layer on an oscillating plane plate. Optimization and validation of calculation code for the analysis of the potential flow/boundary layer coupling in the neighborhood of a plane plate and an oscillating profile
Abstract
The analysis and the numerical modeling of the development of an unsteady boundary layer is presented. A laser velocimeter, using fiber optics technology, is developed. The velocity profiles in the unsteady boundary layer near the moving wall are obtained. Experimental data is used for comparing calculation models and validating the calculation code. The experimental device, the wind tunnel tests, the instrumentation and the measurement techniques are described.
