Scattering of electromagnetic waves by an array of resistive metal strips on a dielectric substrate in a rectangular waveguide
Abstract
A solution is obtained to the problem of H10-mode scattering by an array of thin narrow resistive strips on a dielectric substrate situated in the cross section of a rectangular waveguide. The absorption, reflection, and transmissioon coefficients are evaluated as functions of the geometrical characteristics of the substrate and array, the dielectric properties of the substrate, and the array resistance. Conditions are determined under which maximum absorption of incident-wave power occurs.
