Transient processes connected with frequency tuning in a two-resonator microwave oscillator with delay in the nonlinear element
Abstract
An analysis is made of the stability-limit characteristics of the steady states of an oscillator with a delay nonlinearity and stabilization by a multimode resonator. A prototype low-noise Gunn oscillator has been constructed with stabilization via a leucosapphire resonator and fast quasi-discrete frequency tuning. Processes connected with the stabilization of oscillation accompanying the frequency tuning are investigated theoretically and experimentally, and the characteristics of the optimal operating mode are established.
