Common nature of small bodies in the solar stystem
Abstract
The characteristics of small bodies (asteroids, comets, and planetary satellites) in the solar system are examined with reference to probe studies (particularly Phobos-2). Particular attention is given to the nature of Phobos and to the characteristics of Chiron, the asteroid that is most remote from the sun.
