35Cl spin-spin relaxation time T2 in Rb2ZnCl4 studied by nuclear quadrupole resonance
Abstract
The 35Cl spin-spin relaxation time T2 of both the Goldstone and amplitude modes in Rb2ZnCl4 was analytically calculated and verified experimentally. The theoretical approach shows that the spin-spin relaxation time T2 behaves in a similar way to the spin-lattice relaxation time T1 as a function of temperature. Experimental measurements were carried out at a 35Cl nuclear site in Rb2ZnCl4 in the paraelectric, incommensurate, and commensurate phases. The results agree with theoretical predictions.
