Nonequilibrium resistive response and 'memory' effect during the optical excitation of films of the high-temperature superconductor YBa2Cu3O(7-x)
Abstract
Experimental results are presented on the resistive response of YBa2Cu3o(7-x) films to laser radiation. An effect consisting in 'memorization' of film information about a laser pulse and the reading of this information by the next laser pulse is observed. This effect is explained in terms of the hypothesis that the resistive response of the system is proportional to the number of magnetic vortices frozen into inhomogeneity regions via the preceding laser pulse.
