Observation of the 'subthreshold' formation of defects in single-crystal films of Y1Ba2Cu3O(7-x)
Abstract
An increase in the resistance of single-crystal Y1Ba2Cu3O(7-x) films above critical temperature under 'subthreshold' X-irradiation at room temperature was detected experimentally. It is shown that this subthreshold irradiation effect can be explained within the framework of the ionizational mechanism for the formation of structural defects, i.e., anion (oxygen ion) vacancies.
