Quasi-classical ballistic microcontact in a strong magnetic field
Abstract
The behavior of quasi-classical ballistic microcontacts in a strong magnetic field is investigated for the case where the free path length is larger than the microcontact dimensions and much larger than the electron wavelength. It is found that the resistance of the quasi-classical ballistic microcontact based on a two-dimensional electron gas in the AlCaAs-CaAs heterojunction increases by three-four orders of magnitude when the Fermi level coincides with the Landau level with i=2.
