Thermal design methods for instruments
Abstract
A method for the stage-by-stage simulation of the thermal cycles of instruments is presented which has been demonstrated to be effective in the design of various electronic and optoelectronic instruments. The method makes it possible to select a limited number of mathematical models covering a variety of instrumentation systems and to develop computational methods and software. Analytical and numerical methods are described for determining temperature fields on the basis of models with distributed parameters as well as one-dimensional and multidimensional models. Methods are also presented for calculating temperature fields at different design levels.
