On the Strange Particle Production in the Nuclear Pionization Model
Abstract
The processes of K+- and K--meson production in reactions Ne+NaF, Ne+Pb and Si+Si at Ekin=2.1 GeV/N are considered within the framework of the nuclear pionization model. Model calculations are in agreement with experimental data. It is shown that K+-mesons having small absorption cross-section are produced at the relatively early stage of the cluster expansion whereas K--mesons having large absorption cross-section are produced simultaneously with pions at the relatively late stage of the process.
