Superconducting properties of Zr(x)Y(z)Ba2Cu3O(y) ceramics
Abstract
The properties of the superconducting Zr(x)Y(z)Ba2Cu3O(y) were investigated to determine the influence of ZrO2 addition on the critical current density j(c). The results show that the addition of defined quantities of ZrO2 to the initial mixture of Y2O3-BaO-CuO oxides can improve the mechanical and superconducting properties of Zr(x)Y(z)Ba2Cu3O(y) ceramics.
